Finally, the sun is warming our faces and the flowers are starting to bloom! With the long-awaited arrival of Spring comes some of the hottest new wedding trends that we can’t wait to share with you.
Paper wedding gowns:
Not only are the color options limitless, but the sound of thousands of sheets of paper ruffling in an exquisite, cathedral-length train is simply breathtaking. (Brides beware: the papercuts can be a bit of a nasty shock.)
“First Swim”:
The first dance shared by a newly married couple is truly a special moment. Want to make it more memorable? Try out the latest trend of incorporating a large, glass-walled pool at your ceremony and showing off your moves with a synchronized swimming routine! (Bridal shark doo doo doo doo doo doo, and yes that’s the correct number of “doo”s-we looked it up!)
Signature toilet paper:
Your wedding will be such a blast that people won’t want to step away for even a moment! However, when nature inevitably calls, they won’t miss a beat because your faces will displayed on custom TP in every stall! How festive!
Octopus bouquets:
Imagine your squad, lined up and looking gorgeous in their gauzy bridesmaid gowns. Their dresses are flowing beautifully in the ocean breeze of your beachy wedding. What is the perfect addition to their look in this seaside dreamscape? How about a stunning live octopus held in their hands, with tentacles streaming gracefully around their wrists? The slimy oceanic brown hue is a perfect compliment to this season’s petal pink! (Disclaimer: no octopii are harmed when used as bouquets, since these are specially trained octopii who love human interaction and prefer to have a few hours per day in a fresh air environment. They can also wear tiny gloves for an extra fee!)
“Love is Blind” theme:
Does the thought of trying to find a wedding gown make you break out into hives? Perhaps you want to do your guests a favor and save them the trouble of buying a tuxedo or new dress for the occasion? Try switching the dress code up by having all guests cover their eyes with (monogrammed, natch) blindfolds so no one will see what anyone is wearing at all! We do recommend that anyone following this trend sticks to a single-level venue without stairs, and it’s always a good idea to remind guests that although there is no particular dress code, dressing in SOME sort of clothing is very much encouraged by local laws.)
In case you haven’t guessed it by now, we are just messing with you. April Fools!
